Solution-focused, structured psychotherapy for people seeking clarity, emotional stability and lasting change.

Psychotherapy and counseling

I offer psychotherapy and counseling for adults — both online and in person in Bielefeld.
I also offer couples therapy in English.

Reasons people seek therapy

People seek therapy for many different reasons — including

  • anxiety
  • stress
  • depression
  • relationship difficulties
  • or recurring emotional and behavioural patterns that affect daily life.

Therapy can help create greater clarity, emotional stability and meaningful change in daily life.

In many cases, a focused short-term approach can already lead to noticeable improvement in quality of life.

Background and approach

As the daughter of a British mother and a German father, I grew up bilingually and work fluently in both English and German.

My approach is structured, practical, and individually tailored.

Depending on the situation, sessions may include both practical solution-focused work and a deeper understanding of emotional patterns, stress responses, and how these may also be experienced in the body.

Sessions tend to be calm, attentive, and exploratory, creating a therapeutic space in which more sustainable change can emerge.

Depending on what is most helpful in the situation, I integrate elements from

  • cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
  • depth-oriented therapy
  •  systemic therapy.

Introductory call

I offer a free 30-minute introductory call to explore whether this way of working feels like a good fit for you.

If you would like to arrange an introductory call, you are very welcome to get in touch via the contact form:

Areas I commonly work with

  • Anxiety and panic attacks
  • Stress and burnout
  • Depression
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Emotional overwhelm
  • Self-esteem and self-criticism
  • Addiction and compulsive patterns
  • Psychosomatic symptoms
  • Life transitions and crises

How to get started

Step 1 — You get in touch

You can simply send me a short message via the contact form, for example:

“My name is … and I’m interested in arranging a free introductory call.”

For many people, reaching out is not an easy first step. By getting in touch, you have already taken an important step forward.

Step 2 — I reply within 24 hours (Mon–Fri)

Within 24 hours you will receive further information from me, along with the opportunity to arrange an introductory call within a short timeframe. In most cases, the intro call can take place within a few days.

Step 3 — Your free introductory call

During the call, we explore whether my way of working feels like a good fit for you and what you can expect from therapy.

There is no need to prepare for the conversation in advance. I will guide you through the process with questions, and of course you are welcome to ask any questions you may have as well.

Step 4 — You decide whether you would like to work with me

You are welcome to take time with your decision. Some clients arrange their first session directly after the introductory call, while others prefer to reflect on the conversation first.

If you decide to begin therapy with me, it is usually possible to start within 1–2 weeks.

This approach may be a good fit for you if:

  • You would like to understand and change recurring patterns in your life

  • You tend to criticise yourself or place a lot of pressure on yourself

  • You struggle with stress, emotional overwhelm, inner tension, or difficult feelings

  • You would like to develop new perspectives and more helpful ways of responding

  • You are willing to actively engage in the therapeutic process and reflect on your own thoughts, emotions, and behaviour

  • You are generally able to notice and describe your inner emotional experience

Meaningful change often begins with a first step.

If you feel that this approach could be right for you, you are very welcome to get in touch.
